DREAMS AGAIN
The penultimate session of the project took place yesterday, with some pre-editing being done before going into the studio.
Interviewing two people about their dreams this week proved to be a fascinating experience, and at some point in the spring we would like to put some of this on the web.
The group were saying how interesting it has been with this project for the ideas to have time to develop, and are asking that a new project be funded next year. The editing of the current films will take place in the next few weeks, with a premiere sometime in spring.
Castle Arts is also having a short film festival next week, tying in with the local Elefest film festival. For the Elefest festival check out www.newelephant.net or www.corsicastudios.com Have a good week.

Location Location Location
The last couple of weeks the camcorder group have been filming two pieces of work in Southwark, off the Old Kent Rd. and at Elephant and Castle.
The two short films - quite different in mood - are now to undergo editing, on the laptop and Corsica Art Studios. A third film is also being edited, having been shot in Camberwell Leisure Centre and environs.
The group will be editing for a few weeks, and hope to present the finished film in spring 2006..............watch this space!

Our latest video project
The video project is now in its 5th week and going well.
All participants have had a go at using the digital video camera and been learning new skills such as interviewing people on camera - not as easy as it looks! - and filming techniques from close up to not-so close up!
The current theme for the film is 'dreams', and several people have put forward their ideas for a film they would like to make, and created storyboards. This is a first many people, though all seem excited by the possibilities of making their film, and not daunted by the experience. A couple of people have already been 'on location' shooting possible film work.
Plans for shooting on location are in hand.....so if you see a group of filmmakers locally it could well be us.
Chris from Community Trust TV has met with a couple of people from the group to discuss sound equipment and future possibilities for filming and showing of work, whilst Antonio from the Blue Elephant has agreed to hold a discussion about film-making.

August News
The video project has now been running for 9 weeks and various new ideas have been suggested. Recently we were lucky to spend a beautiful afternoon in Kennington Park where one of the participants did some filming of flowers and nature.
Meanwhile another member of the group did some filming Camberwell Leisure Centre. There are some excellent images and the editing process has begun.
It looks like we have found a secret location for another story and we hope to start filming that in September.
Finally, another member of the group did some filming, in what could be called a naturalistic style, around the Essex coast and countryside. The group had a sneak viewing of this in July and we are now considering how to use this footage.
Video shooting will return in September when we hope to complete a number of projects.
We also aim to put some snippets of work on the internet by the end of October.
