CELEBRATION PLANNED

The latest Peckham Network meeting held at All Saints Church, Blenheim Grove, decided to organise a large public celebration of Peckham and its people, to fall around the first anniversary of last summer's disorders in London and other UK towns and cities.
With Peckham Town Centre Forum much in action and making headway, with SE Village as supported by Peckham Settlement, successfully floating a number of business enterprises in the area, Peckham has much to be proud of.
A date in high summer is being sought, in conjunction with the Police for road closures, juggling the Olympics and Elephant & The Nun Festival as well. A formal plan, perhaps involving the Old Waiting Room at Peckham Rye station, will be announced in May.

A NEW START or JUST MORE AND BETTER

A new group has come together in Peckham in the aftermath of the August disorder and looting in London. The spirit that emerged on the Poundland wall is translating into a wide range of willing and enterprising people and actions materialising across the area.

Initial meetings and coordination have been handled by Peckham Settlement, with meetings held at All Saints Church in Blenheim Grove SE15.
