His background is in 35 mm cinema features but has been making videos side by side with his film career. He first started to produce and direct community and corporate based videos in Nottingham in the early 90’s working for the local council, and NACRO. Since then he has made videos and films for local groups and NGO’s including Groundwork Southwark, Camden and West London, Children and Neighbourhoods, Transport for London, Acorn housing, Amicus Housing, Guys Hospital and Greenpeace. His films can involve training the subjects of the films in filmmaking and he works with all ages from 8 to 80. Bruce’s film work as a producer includes feature films “Alec” and the “Haven”. He has also shot over 15 shorts and won many awards including an RTS award and major awards at many fests including New York Independent Film Festival, Tehran Film Festival, Bristol’s Brief Encounters, Creteil FF Paris, Brest Film Festival, and the Flicker Fest in Australia. Videos made can range from a few hours shoot for archive to multi-camera shoots with large post –production edits.
