My name is Sylvia Akosua Asare. I originally come from Ghana, although I have lived here for quite a long time. I first studied G.N.V.Q INT. Business. When I first started the course, I was really scared that I would not be able to understand the English that the tutors will speak because of the ascent. I was also scared because it was my first time studying a business course and I thought I wouldn’t be able to meet my goals, but as time went on, I was able to make it.

I then started my second course, which was Introduction to Healthcare Studies at level 2. At first I was scared because I thought there would be many adults who would have more experience than me. But, that wasn’t the case and I was able to compete with them. I am currently studying G.N.V.Q INT. to Health and Social Care and within this course, I haven’t got any fears because almost the students in my class are of my age group.

I would like to become a professional nurse in the near by future because that is always my dream. When I was younger I wanted to become a dietician but I didn’t like to study science because I thought that contains a lot of reading, researching and drawing. I have come to realise that Nursing is a good career although some people think it is too hard. Actually, there is no course which is easy but the more effort you put in the more points or easier it will be for you.
